My name is Calle Wollgård.
Almost ten years ago I visited Thailand and Barnhem Muang Mai for the first time in my life. For sure, it was not the last time…
Ten years have now, how crazy it might sound, passed. Many children have come and gone (just like I have), although the soul and everything that Barnhem Muang Mai stands for have never changed but rather grown stronger and stronger over the years. And I can without doubt say that after seeing and experience this in place, this is something that has formed me into what I am today.
By spending more than six months at Barnhem and about two years in total in Thailand, I’ve got a very good insight of how the operations work and how the money are being used to give the children the best and safest childhood.
This fact and all the love I do feel to the people in place made me after my two periods as a volunteer at Barnhem Muang Mai want to continue helping out as much as I could, now by organize a couple of fundraises to raise both money and awareness about the orphanage and the Happy Child Foundation.
After recently having finished a third fundraise it is now an honor to be asked to become a part of the board of Happy Child Foundation and this is clearly something I look forward to. This is another way for me to continue to help out so the children at Barnhem Muang May can grow up in a safe environment filled with love which they so deserve and I hope you want to join us in this.
